While the time before the holidays can be a very cheerful and wonderful experience for most there are some people that it seems that the holidays simply aren't shaped for. And I'm talking about beyond the overpowering display that Christmas is somehow the queen bee of all the holidays. But to the winter festivities that happen to cheer people up during the dark, cold times of year and how inaccessible they truly are for othered communities..

For my personal experience and reference point I went to visit the Winter Village in the Distillery District of Toronto shortly after I had dislocated my knee. It's safe to say it was an emotional rollercoaster as far as the reactions and help I received.

One of the first things that had happened was that the road to the event had been shut down to local traffic and delivery vehicles only, but the person that I was with wanted to get me as close as possible to the entrance.
